Wondering if AdjusterPro’s Xactimate training is right for you? Learn who it’s best for, who should choose another option, and what to expect.

Xactimate can feel intimidating when you’re new to adjusting.

You may know you need to learn it. You may know carriers, adjusting firms, and claims teams use it every day. But you may still be wondering, “Is a live webinar the right way for me to learn Xactimate?”

At AdjusterPro, we train adjusters, so we’re not a neutral third party. But our goal with this article is not to sell you a course; we know our Xactimate training is not the best fit for every student. Our goal here is to help you decide if this course matches your experience, schedule, learning style, and goals.

In this article, you’ll learn who AdjusterPro’s Xactimate training is best for, who may be better served by another option, what the live course covers, and how it compares to other training options, so you can decide whether this webinar fits your goals, schedule, and learning style.

Quick answer: AdjusterPro’s Xactimate course is a strong fit if you’re newer to Xactimate, want live help, and want to prepare for Level 1 and Level 2 certification. It may not be the right fit if you need a recorded course, advanced Level 3 training, mobile app-only training, or private help with one specific estimate.

What is AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training?

AdjusterPro’s Xactimate training is a three-night, live online course in a webinar format that teaches new users how to use Xactimate and build an estimate. Instead of learning alone, you follow along with an instructor in real time.

The course is taught by Nadine Bisson, a Level 3 Xactimate Certified Trainer and experienced insurance adjuster. According to AdjusterPro’s course page, Nadine has more than 20 years of experience and has trained more than 20,000 adjusters.

AdjusterPro is also a Verisk Certified Training Partner. Students get access to a private Xactimate training instance so they can work in the software during class.

Overall, the course is 12 hours long and is split into three sessions:

  1. Session 1: You also start a project, opening a claim, and entering data.
  2. Session 2: You keep working in Sketch, building rooms and learning about Xactimate’s features.
  3. Session 3: Finalize your project, finish the claim, and end with a question and answer session

The course is designed to help students prepare for the Xactimate Level 1 and Level 2 Certification exams. By the end, students should feel comfortable navigating and building a basic estimate inside Xactimate.

Who is AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training Best For?

AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training is best for newer Xactimate users who want live support, hands-on practice, and a clear path through the basics. It may be a good fit if you want help learning the software instead of trying to figure it out alone.

This course may be a good fit if:

  • You’re new to adjusting. Xactimate can feel like a major hurdle when you’re starting out. This course helps you build a stronger foundation before you use the software in real claims work.
  • You feel nervous about learning Xactimate. Many students come into class feeling overwhelmed by the software. The goal is to make Xactimate feel less scary and easier to understand.
  • You want live help. If you learn best by asking questions as you go, the live format can be a big benefit. You can ask questions in real time and hear the instructor’s answers.
  • You want to learn from other students’ questions. Sometimes another student asks something you had not thought of yet. In a live class, the whole group can learn from those moments.
  • You learn best by doing. Xactimate is hard to learn by watching only. This course gives you access to a private training instance so you can work in the software during class.
  • You want Level 1 and Level 2 certification prep. The webinar is designed to help students prepare for Xactimate Level 1 and Level 2 certification. It is not meant to be a full Level 3 course.

This course will not make you an expert adjuster overnight. It will not replace field experience. But if you’re newer to Xactimate and want a guided, hands-on learning experience, it may be a strong fit.

Who is AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training Not Right For?

AdjusterPro’s Xactimate training is not the right fit for everyone. You may need a different option if you want a recording, need advanced training, struggle with computer setup, or only want mobile app training.

Here’s the thing: picking the wrong course is frustrating. We’d rather help you make the right choice now.

This course may not be the best fit if:

  • You want a recorded course you can watch later. The training is live and is not currently recorded. If your top priority is being able to pause, rewind, and go back through the material on your own schedule, a self-paced course may be a better fit. However, you can take the class again 1 additional time for free within 6 months of first completing it.
  • You already know Level 1 and Level 2 material and want advanced training. This training is geared toward Level 1 and Level 2. Level 3 topics may come up, but they are only touched on briefly. If you already use Xactimate with confidence and want advanced workflows, complex estimates, or full Level 3 prep, this course may feel too basic.
  • You struggle with basic computer setup. You do not need to be a tech expert, but you do need to get set up before class. That includes finding emails, creating accounts, accessing Xactimate, and creating your class project. If that kind of setup feels difficult, this course may be frustrating at the start.
  • You want mobile app training. This course teaches the desktop and online versions of Xactimate, not the mobile app. If you plan to follow along using only the mobile app, it will not match what the instructor teaches in class.
  • You need one-on-one help with a specific estimate. This webinar is a class; you can ask questions during class, but if you need someone to review one claim, troubleshoot one roof, or help you fix one estimate, you may need private coaching or another support option.

This course is built for a specific kind of learner. If you want live, guided training on the basics of Xactimate, it may be a strong fit. If you need something more flexible, more advanced, or more personalized, another course may serve you better.

What Are the Pros and Cons of AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training?

The biggest pros are live instruction, hands-on practice, and access to an experienced trainer. The biggest cons are the schedule, lack of recording, and the need to complete setup before class.

Pros of AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training

You get live instruction: you are not just watching videos. You can ask questions and follow along in real time.

You learn from other students’ questions. This is one of the hidden benefits of a live class. Other students may ask questions that help you, too.

You get hands-on Xactimate practice: Students get access to a private training instance so they can work in the software during class.

You learn from an instructor with adjusting experience: Nadine is a Level 3 Xactimate Certified Trainer with more than 20 years of adjusting experience.

You can prepare for Level 1 and Level 2 certification: the course is designed to support students preparing for those exams. The class may qualify for continuing education credit in certain states (see below)
Cons of AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training

The live schedule may feel restrictive: Because the class is live, you need to be available at the scheduled times.

You cannot rewatch the class whenever you want: If you like to pause, rewind, or review lessons later, this may be frustrating. However, you can attend the webinar a second time within six months of your initial purchase.

It may feel too basic if you need advanced Level 3 training: The course focuses on Level 1 and Level 2 skills. If you have used Xactimate before and want a structured refresher, this course may still be a good fit. But if you already know the current Xactimate tools and are looking for advanced Level 3 training, another course option will likely be better.

It may not match your needs if you want mobile app training: The course teaches Xactimate desktop and online, not the mobile app.

How Does AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training Compare To Other Training Options?

AdjusterPro’s course is best for students who want live help. Other options may be better if you want a self-paced course, advanced training, or if your goal is to become certified to teach Xactimate yourself.

How Does AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Course Compare To Verisk Training?

Verisk is a good fit if you want certification focused training.  Verisk is the source of Xactimate, so its training can be trusted with a clear benefit.  It comes straight from the software provider.

AdjusterPro may be a better fit if you want live training with an adjusting lens, hands-on practice, and an instructor who can explain both the software and real claims context.

How Does AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Course Compare to Self-Paced Training?

Self-paced training may be better if you need full schedule control or want to rewatch lessons.

A self-paced course can be a good fit if you like to pause, rewind, and learn slowly.

AdjusterPro’s live webinar may be better if you want real-time help, structure, and the chance to learn from other students’ questions.

Neither option is always better. The right choice depends on how you learn.

What do Students Say About AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training?

Most consistently, we hear that students love the instructor, Nadine.

Most public reviews are very positive, especially praising Nadine (a Level 3 Xactimate certified instructor) for her patience and clear teaching style. A small number suggest that, as with many live group classes, the pace can vary depending on the group’s needs.

FAQ: Common Questions About AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training

The most common questions are about computers, screens, Xactimate access, and setup. Here are the quick answers before you register.

Can You Use A Mac For AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training?

You should not assume a Mac will work. Xactimate and other Verisk products are not supported on MacOS Operating Systems. This means if you have a device that uses the MacOS operating system (mainly Apple desktop and Apple laptop computers), the Xactimate software will not be compatible or useable on that computer. Xactimate does work on most other desktops and laptops that use the Windows operating system. We recommend you take our course on a windows-based computer as that is what our instructor, as well as most employers, will be using to operate Xactimate.

To see a complete list of accepted device types and operating systems, visit the Xactimate Systems Requirements page.

Do You Need Two Screens For The Xactimate Training?

No, two screens are not required. But we very strongly recommend using two screens so you can watch the webinar on one screen and work in Xactimate on the other.

Do You Need Your Own Xactimate Subscription?

No, you do not need your own paid Xactimate subscription to take the class. Students receive access to Xactimate for class and practice.

Is AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training Right for You?

AdjusterPro’s Xactimate Training may be worth it if you want live help, hands-on practice, and beginner-friendly guidance. Nadine is a Level 3 Xactimate Certified Trainer with adjusting experience, so students can learn the software with practical context, not just step-by-step clicks. In short, the course is not just about the mechanics; it also helps you understand how Xactimate fits into the estimating process.

It may not be right for you if you need full schedule freedom, want a recorded course, already need advanced Level 3 training, or only want mobile app training.

Learning Xactimate can feel stressful at first. That is normal. The key is choosing a course that fits how you learn best.

If you want a live instructor, real-time questions, and a clearer path through the software, this webinar may be a strong next step.
