Description
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS, are technologies that help drivers operate a vehicle safely. Many of these technologies are new, but they are rapidly evolving, and estimates indicate that almost 90% of new vehicles will use some form of ADAS by 2030.
Examples of ADAS include:
- Detecting pedestrians and traffic signs
- Speed alerts and lane departure warnings
- Automatic emergency braking
- Blind spot detection
Our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems 101 Course will cover the basics of what constitutes an ADAS component or system, how these technologies relate to one another, and address a few repairability concerns following a loss. This course will give insurance adjusters and appraisers the knowledge to confidently discuss these components or systems with claimants and repair facilities. We’ll review important topics related to the technology, such as:
- Defining & Identifying ADAS
- Scans, Calibrations, & Repairs
- Windshield Replacement
- Additional ADAS Features
- ADAS Levels
- Activity & Assessment
Our course is 100% online and self-paced, so you can study on demand via your computer or mobile device. It should take roughly two hours to complete.
