Description
The Designated Home State (DHS) license was created to provide residents of non-licensing states a means to designate a home state for the purposes of reciprocity and compliance. You should only obtain a DHS License if you reside in one of the following non-licensing states: Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D. C., or Wisconsin.
A DHS license basically works just like having your home state license and is vital if you want to work any claims outside of your non-licensing state. While a host of different states offer a DHS license, the Florida 70-20 Nonresident DHS license is our top recommendation. It offers great reciprocity, you can take the exam online with us, and Florida has the quickest application turnaround time in the country.
Florida DHS adjuster candidates must take an approved pre-licensing course and pass an exam before applying for their license. Our Florida Certified Adjuster Pre-licensing Course satisfies both requirements. Once you complete the course and pass the included exam, you can apply for your 70-20 license. Our Florida Certified Adjuster Designation is the fastest and simplest way to get your Designated Home State License.
While obtaining your license is the most important step to becoming a claims adjuster, you shouldn’t stop there! Our Total Adjuster Package was developed to give new adjusters everything they need to get started, get hired, and get to work. Plus, you’ll save almost $250 off individual pricing when you bundle your Florida Pre-Licensing Course + Exam, Xactimate Training, Residential Construction Basics, Soft Skills: The Art of Insurance Adjusting, and our Adjuster Success Method.
Note: After purchase, all of these courses will be available in your personal online classroom. We highly recommend you take them in the order they are listed below. While our Xactimate course is approved for CE in certain states, you must hold a valid license before taking any course you intend to submit for continuing education credit.

The stats and study algorithms aren’t quite as intuitive as could be; and, had been so, people may feel more comfortable and confident working with the program – instead of fearful of working against or, even worse, disengagement. This sadly is a likely resultant of real-time parameters being resourced which, until the recent past, were subject to the end users own devise as there was not hand-shake and peoples who worked off of desktop instals, CDROMs, etc didn’t engage with developers; and, developers previously had worked in advance in their own insulated sandbox and today the engagement is far more “rich” and foreign to some used to practicing in their own cubicles and sandboxes and dev environment(s).

This course well built and I was able to take so much notes and watch videos of the terms while I am studying. The part of the course that I enjoyed is the short quizzes after the videos to see what information I gathered while watching the video. Overall this was a wonderful course and I’ll always use it to refresh my memory and practice more.

I just want to say than you. The information was beyond plentiful, almost to my detriment, if that makes sense. I am a little bit of a perfectionist, but I definitely feel like this course prepared me adequately. Thanks again!

Having tried to get my adjuster license 3 years ago and not being able to finish the course due to the incredibly dry delivery of a different online course I was hesitant on trying again. After signing up for Adjuster Pro I found the layout of the course more beneficial for my understanding of the material and incredibly less dry. Also the lack of a hard deadline took away a lot of the stress that comes with understanding the material. Overall I would highly recommend this course to anyone seeking to obtain an adjuster license.

I highly recommend the AdjusterPro online course for anyone looking to enter the insurance claims industry or obtain their adjuster license. The course is well-structured, easy to navigate, and designed to help students understand complex insurance concepts in a clear and practical way.
One of the biggest strengths of AdjusterPro is its flexibility. The self-paced format allows you to study on your own schedule, making it ideal for working professionals, parents, or anyone with a busy lifestyle. The lessons are broken down into manageable sections, and the quizzes help reinforce important material before moving on to the next topic.
The course content is comprehensive and covers key areas such as insurance principles, policy interpretation, claims handling, ethics, and state licensing requirements. The instructors present the information in a way that is engaging and easy to understand, even for individuals with no prior insurance experience.
Another reason I would recommend AdjusterPro is its strong exam preparation. The practice questions and review materials closely mirror the types of questions found on licensing exams, helping students build confidence and improve their chances of passing on the first attempt.
In addition, AdjusterPro has a solid reputation within the insurance industry. Many insurance carriers, independent adjusting firms, and claims professionals recognize the program as a valuable training resource. Completing the course demonstrates a commitment to learning and professional development.
Overall, AdjusterPro provides excellent value for the cost. Its user-friendly platform, thorough curriculum, flexible learning environment, and effective exam preparation make it a great choice for anyone pursuing a career as an insurance adjuster. I would confidently recommend it to anyone seeking quality adjuster training and licensing preparation.

The course was very informative and diverse in the material and how it was given, there was some questions on the final exam that were never brought up during the course, which felt like I was somewhat set up for failure when I had never seen some of the questions or content before.

Some of the online content does not match the printed material. It would be helpful for more examples of concepts for better understanding. However, the study bank is very helpful.
