The Designated Home State (DHS) license was created to provide residents of non-licensing states a means to designate a home state for the purposes of reciprocity and compliance. You should only obtain a DHS License if you reside in one of the following non-licensing states: Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D. C., or Wisconsin.

A DHS license basically works just like having your home state license and is vital if you want to work any claims outside of your non-licensing state. While a host of different states offer a DHS license, the Florida 70-20 Nonresident DHS license is our top recommendation. By the end of this live training, you’ll be able to write a rock-solid, accurate estimate from start to finish, utilizing the “Sketch” tool.     not a fan of the progression, I’d rather have more freedom when learning. I’m the student that just reads the text book and doesn’t like the progression, that the curriculum follows. I skip through and go back and Just learn at my own pace. Now that the progression is out of the way upon completing it I can actually go through and do my notes in the fashion that will really help me retain it. I would rather just have all the PDFs at the start and just pass the test at the end rather then sit through 14 minute videos.

    This course was really useful, and I learned a lot from it. However, I think the study materials could be improved. Additionally, I wish it were possible to download the videos, as people tend to forget a significant portion of the information over time. If I had access to the videos for future reference, I could review them to keep the information fresh in my mind, (but that wasn’t an option).

    I’ve taken a lot of online education courses for pre-licensing. I would have preferred more personal instruction and a forum for the students to ask questions and communicate with other students. It was sometimes hard to stay focused when the narrator was just reading the text. I would have preferred a recorded learning session, but I’m through it now and looking forward to the next step!
