Our Florida Certified Adjuster Pre-Licensing Course fulfills the first step in becoming a public adjuster: getting your Florida 6-20 license.

Florida adjusters must take an approved 40-hour pre-licensing course and pass the state’s insurance adjuster exam to get their license. Once you complete our course and pass the included exam, you are qualified to apply for your Florida 6-20 license. No additional testing or coursework is required. After fulfilling the additional public adjuster requirements, you can then move on to getting your 3-20 license.

Steps to Become a Florida Public Adjuster
  1. Pass the 6-20 state exam, or pass an approved alternate course like ours. Our Certified Adjuster Designation satisfies all the Florida Dept. of Financial Services requirements for getting your 6-20 license, including the exam requirement.
  2. Apply for the 6-20 Resident Adjuster License, including getting your fingerprints submitted.
  3. It’s important to note that once you receive and appoint this license, you can work as an independent or staff adjuster. To get your public adjuster license, continue with the following steps.
  4. After you receive your 6-20 license, you must be appointed by a public adjuster or public adjusting firm and apprentice under them for 6 months, or be appointed as an independent or staff adjuster for 6 months.
  5. During this apprenticeship period, you must have a $50,000 surety bond.
  6. After completing your apprenticeship, you must take and pass the 3-20 Public Adjuster exam with PearsonVue.
  7. You will need a $50,000 surety bond to cover the license period.
  8. Apply for the 3-20 Florida Public Adjuster License.

    Throughout this course, I’ve taken notes on slides that had problems, and I wanted to share them with you.
    3-B Coverages D & E 1.3 Civil Authority Coverage: Long pause at the end of the video.
    5-D Ocean Marine Terms 1.3 General Terms Goods: Cost and Freight is labeled (CRF) instead of CFR.
    I took notes on 3-C Personal Auto, and Personal Auto Policy Popular PAP Endorsements, but I just went back through and saw you already fixed it 😀
    This course is really amazing, and I really did enjoy the humor added to some of the slides. I also REALLY appreciate the gray summarized text boxes on all of the article-type slides for my state-specific information. The narrators are really well spoken and have the perfect amount of energy to be enjoyable, whilst not driving me to sleep. I’m very grateful I took this course, and I’d definitely recommend it to everyone who’s interested in getting their adjusting license. I felt very prepared for the Final Exam as well, overall amazing experience, 5 stars!

    This course provided excellent material that will undoubtably help me in my career as an insurance adjuster. It was not always easy understanding the material, but the format was very flexible and self paced which I loved! My only complaint, and it’s not a major one, is the feedback after quizzes and tests could use some refining. Often, I would find the feedback was just repeating the question along with the answer rather than elaborating on why the correct answer was the right one. Maybe some polish on that would help other students. Either way, great course and I can’t wait to see where this will take me! Thanks Adjusterpro!
