To obtain your Michigan adjuster license, complete the following steps:

•  Meet the basic Michigan Adjuster Licensing Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old
• Prepare to pass the state exam with our Michigan Adjuster Exam Prep course
• Register for and pass the Michigan adjuster state exam
  • Register online with PSI
  • The exam name is MI Independent Adjuster with Workers’ Compensation Authority
• Submit your application through NIPR

There is NO continuing education (CE) requirement for Michigan adjusters. Renew your license from February 1 – March 31 during the annual renewal period.

Michigan grants reciprocal licenses to adjusters who are licensed in their home state or adjusters who hold a Designated Home State (DHS) license, as long as the home or DHS state requires an examination.
